The Background
Willow’s mum came to The Living Spiral because her daughter was finding bedtime difficult. Willow struggled to fall asleep, woke during the night, and often had restless sleep or vivid dreams. The session explored why her system found it hard to switch off, and what would help her settle.
What the Session Revealed
Tech Interference
Willow’s nervous system stays more alert than average after stimulation from screens, lighting, noise or busy days. Even when she looks tired, her system can struggle to fully switch off.
Interdimensional Mentorship Pathway
Willow has a very active inner world. When outside input quietens at night, her internal processing can become louder, which makes it harder for her mind and body to settle.
Ascension / Stabilisation Support
Her awareness can stay slightly “up” rather than dropping fully into her body at bedtime. This can show up as difficulty falling asleep, waking in the night, or restless sleep and vivid dreams. The session work focused on stabilising this, though her nervous system still benefits from consistent support at bedtime.
What Will Help Willow Sleep Better
1. A gentle, predictable wind-down
Willow’s body needs clear signals that it is safe to rest.
- A consistent bedtime
- Dim lighting in the evening
- The same order of activities each night (bath, story, quiet time)
2. Less stimulation before bed
Screens are particularly activating for Willow.
- No screens for at least 60 to 90 minutes before bed
- Calm activities instead, such as reading, drawing or quiet play
- No stimulating conversations late in the evening
3. Reassurance and safety
Willow settles best when she feels emotionally safe and held.
- A calm check-in before sleep
- Gentle reassurance that she is safe and cared for
- A consistent presence if she wakes in the night
For Willow, reassurance is regulating. It is not a habit that needs breaking.
4. Grounding the body before sleep
Simple grounding helps her awareness drop fully into her body.
- A warm bath or shower
- Gentle pressure, such as tucked-in blankets or cuddly toys
- A minute or two of slow breathing together
The Outcome
Willow’s mum was reassured that she isn’t doing anything wrong at bedtime. Willow is a sensitive child with an active inner world who needs more help with transitions. With consistency and gentleness, the practical steps help anchor the energetic work into everyday life.
She is safe. She is okay. And she is learning how to rest in her own time.
